Interview Questions: ‘Describe a situation…’

Graphic design interview questions can be surprisingly similar to interview questions asked in other industries. This is because--as professions--in business there are few variables. We must all deal with deadlines, colleagues, clients, and stressful situations.

Here are a few that you should be prepared for:
  • Describe a situation when you needed to meet a tight deadline with a project.
  • Describe a situation when you worked under pressure. How did you handle that?
  • Describe a conflict you had with your boss, or with your colleague. What was the situation and how did you solve it?
Once you have decided on the best scenarios with which to answer these questions, practice your answer and try to get your response time down to 2 or 3 minutes.
